Countryside Day School provided me with a superior prepared environment and creative freedom that enabled me to compile recipes that truly work. The children of the All Year Montessori environment, who I have had the privilege to work with throughout my many years of teaching, made baking come to life for me. They have taught me to take pride in everything I do . . . even the failures, and we have had plenty of those while testing out these recipes. Finally, I would like to thank my baking mentor, my mother. She made it all look so easy. Everything she made was with love and tasted wonderful every time. Thanks, mom.
